Student Perspective | Bryanna’s Story
I really appreciate how my teacher helped me to change my perspective on a classmate I wasn’t getting along with, by teaching me that judging someone just by how they act without getting to know them, is wrong. They didn’t just speak it, but helped me to do it by being vulnerable and taking time to share stories from their own school experience about how their teacher helped them work through difficult relationships. This helped me to see that I was not alone in dealing with difficult relationships and that my teacher could be trusted to help me since they had already experienced similar situations and came out as friends.
They didn’t stop there, but continued to help me to develop a good relationship with my classmate, by giving us opportunities to work together in class projects. I really appreciated my teacher’s interest in my relationships and their help to transform this difficult relationship into a great one. Because of this teacher’s involvement, I am now equipped to develop great relationships with those I don’t immediately appreciate. This global perspective will serve me for the rest of my life and I am indebted to my teacher for their influence on my life.
Patron Perspective | Donisha’s Story
It was such a pleasure to meet Bryanna’s new teacher Mr. Parson. In the past we have had many discussions about her being a “chatty patty” during class. The greatest part about us getting her back on track was his approach to us asking that we assist her in staying focused. After we all came together as teacher, parents, and student, Bryanna definitely did a 360. This made me happy to know that working together still exists amongst staff and families. Being a part of our children’s education and scholastic studies is truly a blessing. The staff is in constant communication with us when things are going well and need work. This is a great deal to us because having a larger family and once being a part of public school the focus would usually be on a student’s mistakes. It’s truly a blessing to be a part of something so wonderful and people who are diligent in making sure the families and students’ needs are met.
Focused
Since 2018 we have been a part of the Tidings of Peace family. My children have been able to embody our family beliefs in God and treat others as we would like to be treated. Tidings of Peace School is a community where we feel treated fairly and with love. This makes it easier to send our children to an environment to not only learn and laugh and play, but live a life like Christ. My husband and I believe that how you treat others is very important and it is a core value in raising our family. So to. . . have a school of this caliber is a beautiful bonus.

Global
The way I feel about my school is that the teachers are polite people, the environment is peaceful and I enjoy learning lots of new things. I especially appreciate the way that I am taught to be global in my perspective. I’m taught to treat others as I want to be treated, be kind, and love others as God loves us. In the past I’ve had quite a few challenges with being focused because of the amount of fun and jokes my friends and I experienced. But now that has gotten much better because the desks have been rearranged in. . . a way we can get things done. It makes me happy to know my parents are proud of me.

Servants
Jesus said whoever wants to be great must be a servant. Not only did He say that, He lived it. Ultimately He served us in the greatest way possible by giving His life for us. It is an incredible example for us to follow.
One of the things that we have because of what Christ did for us is hope. I think there is a lesson here. A true servant will spread hope everywhere he or she goes through their words and actions.
Our school’s mission is to give hope for a brighter future through Christian education. A big piece of accomplishing this is serving well and I want to thank all (patrons, staff, and students) within our school community for how this is done. And thank you to our generous supporters who make it possible for us to have this school community.

Focused
Hi! I’m Jazzy, I am 11 years old. I am in the 6th grade and this is my 7th year here at T.O.P. What I like best about T.O.P is being with my friends, prayer groups, art class, and how I feel safe there. At school I learned to be more creative, understanding, trustworthy, and more honest. I love that the staff are loving, helpful, caring, and funny. T.O.P has been a blessing to me because I am able to take piano class, learn more about history, and able to understand my math better. It’s crazy to me how just last year we were in a small building and now the school building is so much bigger.
Global
I am a parent of 2 students at Tidings of peace. Thus far it’s been 7 years with the school. I am so grateful to have my kids attend such a great school. I was told about the school through word of mouth and haven’t looked back since. There are many things to be said about the school but most importantly it’s that God is at the center of learning and guidance. It is a small environment in which your child is able to get the attention and help they need. There is excellent communication between teachers and parents. One of my personal favorite things is being able to work with the teachers to help mold your child with the character and manners they should posses. It’s a unique school experience in this day in age to be able to include praising and honoring God in your child’s curriculum. I thank God for the work and the ministry the staff puts in to our children. I pray the outcome is a new generations of God fearing young adults that spread God’s loving message to those in need.
Servants
In my first school year at Tidings of Peace I was Jazzy’s homeroom teacher. As a homeroom teacher I was given many opportunities to directly serve my students. In the past three years, I have taken on more of an assistant role to the staff, by teaching a few subjects and assisting in the classroom. I also serve as the IT person to help the staff with the technological challenges that come up. I have learned to be very flexible in jumping to help another staff member at a moment’s notice. I enjoy the variety of doing behind the scenes work to make things run more smoothly for the teachers and staff, allowing more time for the students to learn.
More Testimonials
One way that Tidings of Peace is helping me to become a servant is the way the teachers help the students to become friends. They are teaching me how to understand the other kids better. When I understand them, I then know what they need. I really like this school and the other students and teachers here.
